Reason to Celebrate March 31

For those of you who don't know, tomorrow happens to be my birthday. Now I'm not trying to get cheap happy birthday's or anything like that, but if you want feel free to leave a nice comment. It made me wonder what cool things have happened or happen on my birthday. Well thanks to the great invention Wikipedia I can share you the top things that have happened on March 31.

10. The Eiffel Tower officially opened in 1889, the French got something right.
9. The NCAA was formed. This is a love hate between me and them.
8. It's Caesar Chavez day. It's big in California.
7. Christopher Walken was born on this day in 1943. Happy birthday Secretary of Treasury Cleary
6. Daylight savings time went into effect in 1918.
5. Ewan McGregor was born in 1971. Maybe your movie fortunes will turn around sooner or later.
4. The first Wrestlemania happened in 1985. Too bad professional wrestling died years ago
3. Red Norvo was born in 1908. Man no one has been able to touch that guy on the vibraphone
2. I was born, come on now you didn't think that would make the list.
1. On this day in 1995, Tommy Boy was released into theaters. On the best of all time, really sad Chris Farley is not here to see this day. Happy 17th birthday Tommy Boy.

What I learned from the Hunger Games

Well last night I went and saw the Hunger Games in LaGrange. After reading the book I was pretty excited to see the movie. You might think why would an almost 24 year old guy be interested in the Hunger Games. That's a good question, but the books are easy to read and pretty good. You might also think hey man didn't you just steal this idea from Jay Sanders blog (http://www.jasonlsanders.com). Right you are. 

1. Cell Phones in Movies are Pretty Annoying-=. Listen it's three hours at most, you can turn your phone off and your boy or girlfriend will survive. Facebook will also be around once everyone leaves.

2. Everyone heard you fart kid- This one kid in the theater let out a monster one. Felt embarrassed for him until he started laughing. Then I proceeded to laugh.

3. The Movie was pretty long so I forgive all the people who had to go to the bathroom during the movie. 

4. Yes that's all you got to see of the New Twilight movie during previews. Not everyone in the theater has to know you feelings about how you feel shafted. 

5. This best time to see these movies is during the week or on a Sunday night. There was not one person dressed up like a character and I didn't feel like a creepy old man because there were no middle schoolers there. 

6. Wow the folks in this movie are actually decent actors, unlike another movie which was discussed earlier. 

7. Good movie looking forward to Catching Fire.
